"We Unseelie are suspicious folk, cold and bitter, not prone to trusting or easy kindness. We sleep lightly and jealously upon the hoards we've managed to keep. Our smiles are usually motivated by strange emotions and trickery, rather than the happy ease with which the Seelie grin.

     Yet we are as ancient as the Seelie are. Our guardianship over this land is as steadfast. Our moldering castles and snow-cloaked forests and water-drowned dens attest not only to the treasures we value and hoard, but also the long stewardship of this land we hold dear. Those that defile the land face the wrath of our untethered and terrifying Curses.

     Curses are always turned back upon the caster, they say. They say there is a reason so many Unseelie Masked die newly sealed, right around the time their curses awaken.

      Eh well, there may not be as many of the young amongst us...but those Unseelie who manage to survive, survive long. Covered in scars, wounds, the signs of past battles, our oldest are as ancient as the mountains, as deep and unknowable as ocean caves. If you can learn to survive, to hold on to your life, your magic, to grapple your Curse, you can live to see the shifting and changing of this world. To move that changing.
